Heat transfer fans always wonder which heat transfer material matches his apparel and never do harm. It needs years and years’ experience. I would like to share some opinions about it.

There are 4 kinds of heat transfer material generally: heat transfer paper, heat transfer vinyl, heat transfer fabric, printable and cuttable transfer material. Each of them together almost can do all heat transfer design. With them, there are more options of wear with personalized feature in it.

Here are some brief introductions about them.

Heat transfer paper

Heat transfer papers are always favorite heat transfer materials for apparel fans. With a color laser printer or inkjet printer, and a heat press machine or home iron, you can totally do heat transfer alone, and no much need about equipment.

More and more various heat transfer papers come out. You can print, paint, drawing. You can transfer multi-color logo, one color design and full color designs. You can create 3D iron on stickers, plane image or flock iron ons. Too many options for you!

Heat transfer vinyl

Heat transfer vinyl or heat press vinyl, is one favorite of diyers. With a wide range of amazing results, heat press vinyl impresses people. Glow in the dark vinyl create a mysterious image in the dark, glitter vinyl, reflective vinyl and metallic film can give out different light from design as the name says. Only one disadvantage: vinyl is with one color per sheet, you have to heat transfer separately layer by layer to make multi-color logo. And you need special vinyl cutter to cut them.

Printable and cuttable digital material

Printable and cuttable digital materials, like heat transfer vinyl a lot, are with wide range of results. They are for every type of application on any fabric with full color logo printing, even leather! They are available in Glitter and a wide variety of other special effects that can’t be duplicated by any other decorating method and go well with eco-solvent, solvent and thermo resin printer inks.

To use printable materials, you also need more special your print/cut system that amateurs may not need.

Iron on twill, iron on patches or heat transfer fabric

That is heat transfer material that we have to order from patches or emblem suppliers. They create a fabric effect and are suitable for personalized team jersey logo and lettering. And you don’t need to sewing. Iron them on because there is adhesive backing that sticks on jersey or any organization uniform. They will make you look more professional.

It appears to be easy for heat transfer, but you need months’ practice so that you are able to do it well. Need more information, please come to irononsticker.com
